 Okay this movie looks just as bananas as I remember when I saw it once in a theater.  And it is playing on the big screen tonight. Do I go see it? Did it age well?

 This remains one of my favorite movies. Have watched it more than any other. Still holds. Has action romance, comedy & great world building

 I read once that the writer/director had been conceptualizing the characters, alien races, planets, politics and lore since he was 16 years old.

 This movie aged sorta good. There is some high cheese factor and some pretty dated 90's movie tropes. But overall, it's insistence that the campiness be turned up past 11 at all times makes it just charming.
