*worthless* 

 If my house was still "worth" the same as it was when I bought it 8 years ago. I could afford a bigger house in my neighborhood. Instead my house has doubled in "value" along with all the other houses in my area. My salary certainly hasn't done that. So my house being worth more is actually a net negative. 

 Sending this to every boomer I know. 

 How did they react? 

 Silence. 

 Didn't think it was possible to silence smug homeowners. 😱
