The color photos we see are stills taken on the set at the time usually for publicity and shows us the glorious colors the set designers used.

Now Adam West's Batman would make a point of saying in color on the opening credits but that was 1966 and I think Addam's Family ended slightly before that. Also not all shows transition to color in 1966 but did within it a few years.
