On average, each US taxpayer will be paying ~$5,030 just to service the interest on the government’s debt. This is to pay the $1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) in interest due on the $33,840,973,000,000 ($33.8 trillion) debt. 

If you earned $1 per second to pay this debt, it would take you 31,710 years to pay back the interest for one year…. 31.7k years!!!!  

These numbers are ungodly.
