having actually worked on the inside of shitcoins and worked with shitty fediverse APIs i can say that it's not just because these projects have bad ethics, lying scammy marketing, and are annoying and gay people

their programmers design overly complex, rigid, backwards-incompatible architectures that will lead to a total rewrite at some point in the near future when their love of complexity meets their love of feature creep
i wonder what an image AI would make of this prompt:

"show a picture of Complexity meeting Feature Creep"
I have an image in my mind of a dude in a trenchcoat with rapist glasses and giant rumples in his coat with little words spilling out and clearly naked underneath letting his coat open just a little so you can see his hairy lower thigh protrude and complexity is like a hybrid of a stick insect, caterpillar and has a horse head with cat eyes and rabbit ears

lol, those are not rapist glasses, and the dude is too cool looking, almost like Wesley Snipes or Ice T
IMO your description was kinda suggestive, and it came across in the first image. I reread your description and noticed more details about the cat/insect stuff.

IDK if Grok is factoring what my brain is thinking when it makes the images. I also had no idea what rapist glasses were
Huh, the image generation must be a new Grok feature. Wasn't there last time I checked in with him
no idea what Grok is, gib link pls?
Grok is twitter AI. I haven't used it in a few months, and I'm surprised at the image generation now.

2nd try with 2nd prompt is more along the lines of what you described:

 Grok:
I generated an image with the prompt: 'overly complex, rigid, backwards-incompatible software architecture with scammy marketing'.

i can't see the image on that, i don't use x and refuse to sign up or log in with my google or whatever
I got you. this was your original prompt, complete text.

i guess that's Complexity, but where is Feature Creep

hah, something from the youtube vault
Jon La Joie is a legend
he's new to me, but I can see that.
yeah, you'll have a good belly laugh session if you go find a playlist of his songs
this guy is worth checking out too

awesome beatboxer and satirist also
I'm going to need a belly laugh this morning. Apparently friend's having trouble understanding why I wouldn't vote for Kamala... I need to remember the golden rule of never talking politics from now on
 i hate statists

take it as a signal - if they think voting is a good idea, reconsider doing business with them if you can avoid it

remember, every election is a pre-sale for the loser's stolen property
I love your attitude. i'm not as footloose and fancy free, living abroad as you are. Although I have that goal eventually.

Participating in an election in my jurisdiction seems like a step in the right direction, although going to church might be a better step to participating in local community
yeah, if those are your two preferred options forget the voting and join the church

bigger mainstream churches are better, catholic, anglican, presbyterian, baptist... the other, smaller ones are loony, often cultish
Not everyone is a cypher punk and can work on Bitcoin, lightning, Nostr, and antigravity so we are stuck with pulling a lever
 what other options are there?
make a business? depends on how socialist and greedy the government is whether that's good or a struggle

it's not for nothing that merchants and travel are connected... governments will try to get their fangs into you if you stick around too long
i might just merchant myself around on a sailboat. that's the dream. if i wasn't so scared of being too lazy to scrape off the barnacles and look at a map.
lol, haha... not hard to find food out in the sea but you gotta replace your lines and hooks and fuel your cooker
 IPFS in a nutshell
yes, and no coincidence that bluesky uses IPFS data structuring libraries

i'm quite in love with this name "Feature Creep" though, seems like it would make a great cartoon character for a lil' hodler type cartoon, but with the theme of software development
