Apple asks US appeals court to reverse Apple Watch import ban

Apple has asked the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to overturn a ban on the import of some Apple Watches imposed by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) in a patent dispute with medical-monitoring technology company Masimo. Apple argues that the ITC's decision was based on flawed patent rulings and that Masimo failed to demonstrate investment in competing US products. Masimo had accused Apple of hiring its employees and stealing its pulse oximetry technology. The ban, which temporarily halted sales of the watches, was reinstated in January.
