Celebrating both my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary called for something truly special—Ossobuco a la Moma. This dish holds a dear place in my heart, as I’ve been making it since I was 18 and still living with my mom. It’s a recipe that’s been passed down, loved by everyone in our family, and perfected over the years.
I marinate the veal shanks in a blend of fresh herbs, garlic, and a touch of pineapple or kiwi, letting the flavors develop for up to 48 hours. The result? Tender, melt-in-your-mouth Ossobuco, braised to perfection in a rich red wine sauce. There’s something magical about how this dish brings everyone together, filling the kitchen with warmth and love—just like it did when I was younger.
Whether it’s for a special occasion or just because, Ossobuco a la Moma is always a hit. Try it yourself & see why this Italian classic is one of our favorites!🍷💕

You are doing the Lord’s Work
That looks delicious. Memories of my grandmother.
I might see it wrong seems like you are using non stick cookware. i heard that the chemicals from the non stick will pollute the food. do your research. it's probably best to use stainless steel
Thanks for your concern! I appreciate you looking out for safety in cooking. For this recipe, I used wooden cooking utensils and a Dutch Oven pot, which doesn’t have a nonstick coating. as clearly presented on this video… I always try to be mindful of the cookware I use to ensure it’s safe. Stainless steel is a great option too!
The dish looks amazing and congratulations 👏🎉 to you and your husband for your anniversary and on his birthday 🎂.
