ETH folks and ex-ETH folk scam all the time.  Many dont, but the bigger fish like to rig markets, and routinely rug pull.  I really like PP, they orginally started out as BTC, lightning, LTC and other innovations plus a co-working space.  I went to many early events, and some later ones.  It got less pure over time, and there were question marks about some folks.  The altcoin (aka sh*tcoin) world is one of inhuman greed.  This story happens over and over, to so many projects, including open source.  There were 10,000 bitcoin copies and maybe only 10 had good ethics like BTC.  I hope it works out as PP is an amazing group.  But needs to be wary of rug pull culture.  A lesson for all...
