Iraq father begins legal action against BP over son's cancer death

Julood is demanding that BP compensate him for his son's medical expenses and funeral. He sent a Letter Before Action to BP on April 22, and if an agreement is not reached, court proceedings may follow. Gas flaring produces cancer-linked pollutants and endangers health and the environment. BP has not responded to requests for comment.
