Lustleigh Cleave on the east side of Dartmoor is a moss-lovers paradise.

Horsham Steps, a higgledy-piggledy jumble of mossy boulders, forms a natural footbridge over the River Bovey.

The temperate rainforest that thrives in the steep-sided valley is particularly lovely to explore on a muggy day. Branches festooned with mosses, lichens, liverworts, ferns & fungi. So quiet, like being wrapped in a warm, slightly damp, green blanket.
