It would be great if public mutes were still encrypted using the npub, so that nobody except you/your client knows who you are muting. 

This has the benefit of taking your mute list with you wherever you go, without giving up your #privacy. 

Does anyone know how this is currently implemented in #damus? #asknostr 

 That literally is what private mutes are. Once you encrypt them they are not public anymore 😀 

 (but you use your nsec as anyone can have use your npub)
