Our ghost tour guide had an LED lantern. It did a great job shedding light so we could see. But the white light is piercing. There were 0 cool shadows. I could only see a black blob holding the thing. 

So I don't know if the LED lantern is "good" or "bad". The light is most definitely very different from one that was burning something.
