i'm sure some men actually mean it, but a lot are also "i prefer without makeup" then still hypocritically expect your face to look flawless, and prefer women that look that way, which escalated to the point that "nomakeup" is actually a make-up style that involves a lot of make-up expertise-to make it look like no makeup was used 😅
