There are 4 things the US government is good at.

1. Expanding and increasing its own power at the expense of the people.

2. perpetuating red tape and making life difficult for all its constituents. 

3. Meddling in things it shouldn't, including the affairs of others and screwing them up.

4. Practicing deception about all of the above.

But, their skill at #4 has diminished significantly.  Partly from jumping the shark as a result of TDS, and partly due to people paying more attention
