While apple has and can have tremendous user focus, my experience with them last year leaves me skeptical on relying on yet another apple service. They have treated damus devs like 💩. 

If Will and galaxy brain devs can figure it out without apple (barring negative UX, prohibitive costs) then it is one less prospective rugpull.
