Our useless #Portland city council is so terrified at the prospect of having little more to do than actually talk to Portlanders and come up with winning policy, they’re begging the mayor to keep their dirty fingers in bureau business just a bit longer. Keep in mind, none of council are pros trained in the sophisticated core competencies of the bureaus they manage. They’re just cheerleaders who use the influence as a cudgel or as a way to appease their campaign donors.
