This week I ran an experiment with nicotine via Zyn pouches. I don't advocate using nicotine given its addictive properties, but I wanted to see if Zyn would help suppress the urge to eat late at night without negatively impacting sleep quality.

For me the answer appears to be yes. Nicotine as an appetite suppressant has been widely studied and is well known. My sleep tracker showed that, unlike alcohol and caffeine, nicotine did not prevent me from enjoying a long night of deep and uninterrupted sleep.
Playing with fire, nicotine addiction is a nightmare 😔
Fair enough, though I'm skeptical that one cigarette worth of nicotine per day for a week is enough to create dependence.
With regards to sleep, if you are a heavy enough user, you can sleep while consuming nicotine no problem.
this can give you very vivid dreams, sometimes bad nightmares. it certainly affects your sleep cycle.
I'm supposed there are many factors at play, but for me I saw no negative effects from 3mg.
 scary #experiences
That monkey has been off the back for decade plus so hesitant to try - agree booze and caffeine have negative effect. Glad it worked for you.
Have you considered treating the root cause of the late night hunger?

Some natural solutions:
Prioritizing a consistent bed time ~10pm
Eating meals that are satiating
A little neem powder will curb your appetite
🙏

Agree about all but the neem part since i'm not familiar with it.

I would like to add the following suggestions:

1. Plain old discipline

If you always get hungry at the same time during the evening and always have something to eat your body will trigger hormone generation that cause a hungry feeling at the same time. If you can overpower this for a week or so with discipline the hormone release should be significantly less if at all. When i started doing intermittent fasting (8hr eating window each day) i stopped eating breakfast. This was terrible the first week but after that i never got hungry again during the morning.

2. Apple cider vinegar

Apart from some other health benefits this may reduce appetite. Take 30ml in a glass of water (300ml total).
Do you crave carbs specifically? Or just food in general?
cannabis would help with your sleep and be a lot healthier than nicotine but would not suppress your appetite lol
Some heroin would probably suppress the urge to eat late too.
Be careful dude, nicotine is HIGHLY addictive. It alters your dopamine/serotonin system making you calm and focusing when used it, but then comes the withdrawal with the mirror reverse effect.
It is the most addictive substance I have ever tried. Trying to quit smoking is my ongoing battle that lasts years.
I lose my sense of smell after Covid in 2021 and with 5-8 doses of 3mg Zyn daily my smell has come back after about two months.
In my experience, nicotine reduces the duration of my REM cycle by ~5% when taken within 6 hours of sleeping.

I think the tradeoff is worth it, but to each their own.
How long before bedtime did you cut it off? Ive found an hour before is sufficient.
I recently heard that nicotine contributes to a build up of fat around your organs. I think that is the fat you don't want.
Not sure if it's really true though
Eat sufficient animal based (Paul Saladino) during day, no extra junk, and get zero hunger at night. Daily 12-16h intermittent fast literally effortless for me.
use zinc to over come addiction, bio hacking is important as bitcoin ~
As a non-nicotine user, I tried a zyn one time since I like to experiment. Within five minutes I felt dizzy and threw up.

It’s a helluva drug.
Tried it one time just to see what people were raving about. Got uncontrollable hiccups after 15 seconds. Nope. 👎
I've used nicotine patches in the past to stop smoking. If you wear them to bed you get vivid lucid dreams.
