 One big thing I realize.

Everyone young wants to burn the old world and build something new. And everyone young sees older people as idiots who do everything wrong. And that all “rituals” are silly.

Later, I learned, that many older people are indeed idiots.

But other things are clever. And that there were many really innovative scientists, talented artists. And that culture matters.

Now, I realize that you should pick your fights.

You should adopt good things. And you should fight bad ideas. Every era had its bad ideas. Even this era has its own bad ideas and its own idiots.

List of things where I no longer see myself as radical:

* Clothing — I thought everyone should be as unique as possible. Now, I believe clothes should be comfortable, fit for the purpose and look good. A punk can be more mainstream than an old guy in a tweed suit.
*Multiculturalism — I thought every country should adopt as many good people as possible and there should be no barriers. Now, I believe migration should be like spice that makes food better, but will not replace the ingredients with the spice itself.

List of things where I see myself as radical for decades:

* Human rights — mainly individual rights, privacy rights, property rights, free markets
* Technoptimism & Accelerationism — we MUST conquer space. They say there is no Earth #2. We need to have 1000s of Earths.
