Original Reddit model worked because your feed was your favorite subreddits + a mix of top voted stuff from outside communities. So it prevented complete echo chamber isolation because the important stuff from the outside out show up every now and then. It was the best model, but looking at the Reddit front page now, it’s a huge echo chamber, so I don’t know what happened. 

Was it bots? Coordinated infiltration attacks within subreddits?
