Censored people disappear by design. It's not nearly bad enough for people to leave. I'm sure I could stuff a 1984 quote here somewhere but I will show some restraint. If the average person gets censored, who would know. And masses are likely sheepish enough not to get the boot. It's just not an every man's problem.
I also think many people are dropping the idea of the "social" part of social media. Everyone I know pretty much uses tiktok or instagram reels daily. Its one way. There is no more regular two-way communication. You are either a consumer or a producer, its extremely unequal now. That's just the norm. In my local circles there is no need to have communities on the internet anymore.
Im here because it's open, and I don't need permission from anyone to build software on nostr. I get to build/use my own software to sign MY events and no one owns them except me! Plus the people here are kinda cool too
