 Not everything about WEF is bad. It’s good to understand that, as with every large organization, things are heavily compartmentalized and many people there work only on their specific field of expertise.

To not use Proton just because a board member works for internet security with WEF would be a case of paranoia.

 Nope, it shows incredibly bad judgement from the owners. If they want to promote themselves as a privacy and freedom preserving company, the last thing in the world they should associate with is a criminal organisation working for a global surveillance state. Now the accusations of being a honeypot is looking much more credible.
