I think he mostly ignores the teleprompter. Which is in theory is refreshing. I want to hear what the person actually thinks rather than some focus grouped BS. But he definitely isn't particularly good at it. Has a very strange, many times unintelligible, cadence

 100%. You can tell when he's reading vs when he's doing standup. It's pretty obvious
