as I am hesitant to invest any real cash in crypto for fear of drowning, and I have been tempted to try my hand at cryptocurrencies for a long time, a friend who has been in it for several years and has been doing quite well sent me an interesting topic.
There is an altcoin project called Grass that is not yet listed on the stock exchange and which is paid for providing the Internet to artificial intelligence.
Since I spend a lot of time on the computer, I can play with it, but I wonder if this topic makes any sense? Of course, I will not leave the computer on while mining, because we know how much electricity costs, but only mine while working/sitting on the Internet.
I registered on their website and downloaded this mining add-on for Chrome (the add-on is only for Chrome), and apparently I'm digging something (it works in the background and does not affect Internet browsing in any way), I checked and the CPU usage is not increasing or other computer components, but the question is whether it collects some of my data or something?
