 I do understand your point. I’ve got to a point in my Bitcoin journey where NGU is obviously fun but I want a World where we can spend sats not exchange sats for fiat then spend. That’s a World that’ll really benefit people

 You will be looooooong dead & buried before that world is reality. 
Live in reality or you will go mad my friend. 
Fiat exchange is around for 100 more years minimum. And it will be rocky hiking.  Not easy.  Prepare accordingly.

 Wait till on/off ramps are true enemies. 
Protect your stack. Don’t sell. 
Also keep a fair amount of fiat tucked away so you can survive the “ramp wars”.
