My interactions at Walmart, grocery stores, etc. have been refreshing of late.  
I’m in sales, so I can converse with a telephone pole, but I get the sense that being spoken - and listened to - as a person, is not something a lot of ‘frontline’ workers are used to.  
Tells me all I needto know about their bosses and managers.
