It’s generally a good idea to also include photos of - spore print - cuts on the mushroom made a while ago and immediately - habitat or discussion of habitat and nearby flora
Not 100%, but it looks like meadow mushroom family. I have horse mushrooms in my yard that look very similar
I think there's a similar looking one called a "yellow stainer" that bruises yellow and will give you upset bowels
horse mushrooms have a lot darker gills i think?
Could you provide a photo with the specimen divided into left and right halves? (split evenly).
Different specimen. Same group. https://image.nostr.build/9b393fbba8bbaa40b8fb7d9d52b96a49e37d841371f391e0904d6c0ac9f6cfa2.jpg
Awesome. Firstly, if it stains yellow, discard it. This is a toxic (inedible) Agaricus xanthodermus. Secondly, if it smells like phenol, discard it. This is a toxic (inedible) Agaricus moelleri. If no yellow stain nor smell of phenol are present, then it might be one of these five edible specimens: - Agaricus arvensis - Agaricus bitorquis - Agaricus bisporus - Agaricus bernardii - Agaricus campestris Let's be 100% certain before consumption! Discretion is highly advised.
