Anyone who knows me knows that I've come up dozens with rpg mechanic ideas, mostly just because I have fun doing it, especially typing it up into a document
An idea for a simple rpg that's supposed to be easy to pick up for any age
Skills are represented by dots going from 1-3, with 2 dots being average proficiency, 1 being poor, and 3 being pro
The GM sets challenges as difficulty values from 2-20, the higher the more difficult
Whenever you attempt a challenge and make a skill check you roll an amount of dice equal to your skill proficiency. If any of the dice meet or exceed the difficulty level of the challenge then you succeed
If multiple party members attempt a challenge together then each extra member subtracts the difficulty level by 1
