Making jewelry for myself, including remaking a bracelet I really wanted to love. 

Years ago I got all these beads that had metal grommets meant to be used on trendy metal bracelets, I think, and decided I wanted to do something else with them. I took the red and blue ones and crocheted thin elastic cord to make what was supposed to be a seamless bracelet that filled the empty bore space. The only problem was bits of the crochet poked out and it was actually messy, despite being kind of clever. 

Years go by where I love looking at this bracelet but avoid wearing it, and sit on the other similar beads. 

Recently I got some thicker elastic cord that just fills the bore space and decided that instead of being seamless, I’d just tie a knot in it and cap the ends elegantly. 

I’m really pleased with the results!  Now I wish I had more of these weird beads…
