You're not wrong but there's also a not insignificant number of older men that are incapable of faulting women and hate seeing them suffer consequences for their behavior. There was a weird gynocentric strain in boomers and some of the other generations but I think that's going away now. Coverture was put to an end near the end of the nineteenth century and feminism really exploded halfway through the twentieth century. But the cycle will end in our lifetime, the begining of the twentieth century will see women returned to their rightful bondage. No more property rights, no more independence, no more voice in the public square
