It's ridiculous. Monero doesn't support domain names. Ethereum does so you can have a monero.eth name that points to your Monero address (as well as its own Ethereum address). There are other solutions based on other blockchains, maybe a .crypto address or something. No need for a .xmr name that implies it's like the XMR version of a .eth name when XMR doesn't have anything like a .eth name.
