So you checked their stats to confirm your bias - right... 
Nostr never took off. When I joined a year ago it had about 520k members and it's now at 766k which most of it probably dead accounts. No amount of posting or "engaging" will change that fact or lure in more users (also too complicated to set up for Joe Average).
My timeline/network is to 50% full of garbage like postings of steaks and food, dozens of annoying "GM"s, stupid memes and cap locks from Odell.
Nostr migth not be dead yet but it's dying. Fact.
