Untether AI to collaborate with Arm
==========
Toronto-based AI chip maker Untether AI has announced its collaboration with Arm to develop high-performance, energy-efficient solutions for next-generation automotive applications. The collaboration aims to address performance, power, safety, and security requirements for advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle (AV) applications. Untether AI will enable its inference acceleration technology to be implemented alongside Arm's latest-generation Automotive Enhanced (AE) technology. The at-memory architecture for neural network inference developed by Untether AI delivers high performance and energy efficiency for software-defined vehicles (SDV) technology. The collaboration will provide OEMs with the flexibility, scale, and choice to create intelligent automotive applications. The collaboration is driven by the increasing demand for heterogeneous computing platforms in the automotive sector, combining CPUs, AI accelerators, memory, and networking technologies optimized for neural network acceleration and SDV. The collaboration is part of the efforts to develop a common SDV platform through the SOAFEE consortium. Untether AI's chiplet-based solution is designed for the automotive market and meets stringent safety requirements. Arm's AE IP portfolio complements Untether AI's solution, enabling OEMs to create differentiating next-generation automotive applications.
