 No. You may not. I'm mostly OK with the entire west of the US sliding into the pacific. I'm a dedicated east coaster/wanna be Appalachian.

And since I melt in the heat, I prefer the north east.  

 Yeah. It’s still hot here. And the air quality sucks today. 

 It's deliciously chilly here in the mornings with cool, breezy afternoons. It's pretty much prefect.

 Yup. I have had the windows open and sleep under a thick wool blanket. I don't bother turning the heat on and the AC doesn't kick on, either. It's just wonderful. Most ladies are already in hoodies. I think it's perfect during the day but would want another light layer in the evening.

 I don't need sunrise at 5:30 in summer, it will be boiling by 9. Sunset at 10:30 is fine. 

And 8-6 daylight >> 7-5 daylight. People don't wanna drive home in the dark.  

 Move a timezone forward,

And make DST a 2 hour shift, 

Or have four 1 hour shifts,

That's how I'd like it, 

Too hot / tiresome otherwise.
