i went on a milk diet earlier this year for a while and it completely changed how things were in my mouth... sugars and starches stick to your teeth for days afterwards, i could always tell, when i was on the milk, if i ate something with a lot of sugar in it... even the caramels in instant coffee would start up bacterial activity in my mouth that had an irritating character to it
lactose doesn't feed any oral bacteria, so it's almost the same as if you are eating nothing at all, although the casein does form a thin barrier around your teeth as well, which was really helpful for me because i'd developed a severe sensitivity to stuff like maltodextrin from too much monster sugar free drinks back in 2023 (they also gave me chronic double vision and kidney damage)
so, yeah... eating carbs is bad for your teeth, 100% #troof
