Imagine having a bud messaging you telling you that your node might be offline. Then pulling out your phone and seeing if you can connect to it. 

Hell we use lightning nodes as a welfare check for people. “Hey dude your node has been offline for a day, everything ok?”

It’s like a reverse life alert or a dead man switch but that sounds crazy.
